Bad Taste is a 1987 cult science fiction comedy horror film. Produced on a low budget, it is one of the first films directed by Peter Jackson. The film features Jackson and his friends taking a number of key roles, both on and off-screen. The plotline sees aliens invade the fictional New Zealand village of Kaihoro to harvest humans for their intergalactic fast food franchise, where they face off against a four-man paramilitary force, of which at least one member appears to have gone insane. It was a film that provided Peter Jackson with the necessary leverage needed to advance in the industry.

I have been following the reports of the massive destruction and progress in maintaining and rebuilding the areas of Japan that were affected, at first, by the Tsunami and then secondly, by the radiation leakage from the Fukushima Power Plant. Had the employees of Fukushima ran away screaming and hiding, the plant would have completely broken down, risking a devastating amount of radiation into the surrounding areas, and possibly further. But they didn’t. They stayed and fought. And they continue to fight.

A dedicated student at a medical college and his girlfriend become involved in bizarre experiments centering around the re-animation of dead tissue when an odd new student arrives on campus.

Francis Bacon (28 October 1909 – 28 April 1992), was an Irish-born British figurative painter known for his bold, austere, graphic and emotionally raw imagery.Bacon’s painterly but abstract figures typically appear isolated in glass or steel geometrical cages set against flat, nondescript backgrounds

Bacon called the image of a screaming mouth a catalyst for his work, and incorporated the shape of the mouth when painting the chimera.

According to art critic and Bacon biographer Michael Peppiatt, “it would be no exaggeration to say that, if one could really explain the origins and implications of this scream, one would be far closer to understanding the whole art of Francis Bacon.”The inspiration for the recurring motif of the screaming mouths in many Bacons of the late 1940s and early 1950s were drawn from a number of sources, including medical text books, the works of Matthias Grünewaldand photographic stills of the nurse in the Odessa Steps scene in Sergei Eisenstein’s 1925 silent The Battleship Potemkin.

Bacon first saw the film in 1935, and viewed it frequently thereafter. In his studio, he kept a photographic still of the scene which showed a close-up of the nurse’s head which showed her screaming in panic and terror and with broken pince-nez spectacles hanging from her blood-stained face. He referred to the image throughout his career, using it as a source of inspiration

Brian an average guy from New York City begins an unwilling symbiotic relationship with an evil, disembodied brain eating parasite called “Aylmer”. Aylmer secretes a highly addictive, hallucinogenic blue fluid into Brian’s brain. In return for a steady supply of the fluid, Brian must seek out innocent victims for Aylmer, so that he can devour their brains for sustenance. The film was largely a metaphor for drug addiction.

From Director Frank Henenlotter (Basket Case Trilogy)

Near the end of the film, there is a brief appearance by a man on the subway with a large wicker basket. This is meant to be a cameo appearance by Duane Bradley, the main character from Henenlotter’s earlier film Basket Case.

Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. His painterly skills are often attributed to the influence of Renaissance masters. Dalí’s expansive artistic repertoire includes film, sculpture, and photography, in collaboration with a range of artists in a variety of media.

Dalí was highly imaginative, and also had an affinity for partaking in unusual and grandiose behavior. His eccentric manner and attention-grabbing public actions sometimes drew more attention than his artwork to the dismay of those who held his work in high esteem and to the irritation of his critics.

Nicklas Bendtner and Lee Cattermole arrested over trashed cars

PREMIER League team-mates Nicklas Bendtner and Lee Cattermole have been arrested over a car-wrecking spree near the ground of their club’s arch rivals.

The Sunderland players, both aged 23, were held by police at their homes on suspicion of causing criminal damage to at least three vehicles. Wing mirrors were ripped off the motors including a Toyota RAV4 and a Renault Clio which were parked just yards away from Newcastle United’s St James’ Park stadium.

Both footballers have been released on bail as the investigation continues. Detectives are now looking at CCTV in a bid to discover exactly how many cars were allegedly damaged in the night attack on December 6.

Both millionaire stars will face a grilling from new manager Martin O’Neill. A club source said: “He’s not going to ignore this. We won’t be burying our heads in the sand.

Where the Buffalo Roam is a 1980 American semi-biographical comedy film which loosely depicts Hunter S. Thompson’s rise to fame in the 1970s and his relationship with Chicano attorney and activist Oscar Zeta Acosta. Art Linson directed the picture, while Bill Murray portrayed the author and Peter Boyle portrayed Acosta, who is referred to in the film as Carl Lazlo, Esq. A number of other names, places, and details of Thompson’s life are also changed.

Thompson’s obituary for Acosta, “The Banshee Screams for Buffalo Meat,” which appeared in Rolling Stone in October 1977, serves as the basis of the film, although screenplay writer John Kaye drew from several other works, including Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail ’72, The Great Shark Hunt, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Thompson served as “executive consultant” on the film.
